🦄 Hey 🦄

We are team Laagri JR. Unicorns and we will soon be on our way to the First Lego League Open International Championship Greece 2025 competition in Kórinthos, Greece. That will be already from 2nd to 5th May 2025.  

🎉 Our goal is to bring our experience back to the Estonian robotics community. We will share our trip in our website's diary and blog, YouTube vlog and fun social media posts. After the competition, we will talk about our experience publicly at the Saue robotics day Laagri Robocity 2025.

🏆 Our team consists of two girls and three boys - Greete, Mirtel, Karl, Oliver and Romet. We always wear colorful unicorn costumes at the competitions. We have won many awards during our 6 years of operation. This season we won the Champion trophy in the semifinals and the Robot Design I trophy in the final and were a candidate for the Champion.

🦄 Laagri JR. Unicorns is a legacy from the Laagri Unicorns team, who are now alumni of Laagri Roboring. In our name, the word JR. stands for junior, which means that we are their offspring. The name of the Laagri Unicorns team was born back in 2016, when Greete's sister competed in the team. We created the name Laagri JR. Unicorns in 2017. Unicorns have been a part of Laagri Roboring for a long time.

🤓 Our team has a robot with a unique gearbox and virtual models (Stud.io 2.0), posters and presentations designed in Canva, a 3D printed prototype (TinkerCad), a comprehensive research, great edited videos (CapCut), project management skills and experience as organizers and volunteers at Laagri Robocity. In addition, we have created our team brand as bright, cheerful and enthusiastic unicorns who know how to reflect on their experiences and actively shine on social media and on the website.

💁‍♂️ We dare to ask for help if we can't do it ourselves and offer our help to others if possible.

💸 We have calculated the cost of our entire trip to be around €7,000. The competition entry fee is €535 and plane tickets are ~€500 per person. Furthermore, the competition equipment and souvenirs (shirts, stickers, Estonian chocolate, etc.) will add up to it.

⚡This is a very large amount for our instructor, families and school, so we invite you to help share this burden. However, we offer cooperation opportunities. If there is no suitable option for you in the list below, then write to us and we will arrange something exciting together 😊
